Determine if your film is part of the community category or the commercial category.
Community films are ones which are created for the wider community that will reach a large audience. Filmism will create these films for free. Examples of this type of project include films for charity organizations, large sporting events. These films cannot be made for any monetary gain. All costs associated with production must be covered. Commercial films are defined by Filmism as a film created for monetary incentive. This type of film does not benefit the community and is created for an individual OR an organization. Therefore, this type of project will require a fee. All costs associated with production must be covered. Beginning March 2019, Filmism will be charging an environmental responsibility fee to projects requiring transportation and other electrical support. FILMISM reserves the right to define a project as either. Fill out an application form for your video.
Application forms must be submitted 3 weeks prior to the due date of the video (4 weeks for commercial films) and at least 1 working week before the first shooting day. We will get back to you as soon as possible upon receiving the application form. We will either reply with an acceptance of the project (commercial films will include a quote) or we will reply with a denial of the project. Sometimes, we will request more information before acceptance of the project. In this case, provide us with the necessary information and we will follow up on the status of your project. You must agree to Filmism's project terms and conditions. Schedule a production meeting.
Filmism will put you in contact with your project supervisor. Please contact them, and they will be in charge of your project. Please plan on attending a production meeting with them to finalize out the details of your film before production. Most likely, your production meeting will be scheduled on the following Wednesday of project acceptance. |
